8 книг прочитала за последние 2 месяца, и из тех, которые сразу хочется рекомендовать вот эта: The Anomaly So, now I know my phobia of flying is far from being an irrational fear since when you disembark the plane, you never know if you’re the same person who boarded it. Seriously though, I loved this book. It’s a complex mixture of sci-fi, psychological drama, thriller and a philosophical tale with a pinch of dark humour. The narrative is slow-paced and meditative, especially in the beginning. We are introduced to a mosaic of characters with their Shakespearean or trifling dramas. Among them there’s a ruthless thug, a music star with a Bob Marley vibe, a pilot facing a dreadful affliction, a sweet little girl. What unites all of them? – They take the same flight that goes through severe turbulence… Though revolving around a fictitious event, to me the book is mostly about how we deal with everyday life, life laden with turbulence and anomalies.
