Ukrainian drones attack Turkish oil tanker 🟢On the morning of March 26, the Turkish oil tanker Altura was attacked by Ukrainian forces. The attack was carried out with an unmanned surface vessel and UAVs in the Black Sea, 14 nautical miles from the Bosphorus Strait. 🟢A powerful explosion occurred on board the vessel following the attack. The navigation bridge and engine room were damaged. 🟢According to Turkish media reports, the tanker was traveling from the Russian port of Novorossiysk and was carrying 140,000 tons of crude oil. A crew of 27 Turkish nationals was on board at the time of the attack. 🟢The tanker issued a distress signal. The Turkish Coast Guard Command organized a rescue operation. Coast guard vessels and the specialized rescue ship Nene Hatun were dispatched to assist the tanker. None of the 27 crew members were injured or killed, and they are reported to be in satisfactory condition. 🟢The vessel is owned by the Istanbul-based company Pergamon Shipping and has been under European Union sanctions since October 2025. It is considered to be part of the so-called “shadow fleet” of R. T. Erdoğan, allegedly involved in transporting Russian oil. 🟢Through attacks on Russia’s oil infrastructure, the Kiev regime and its Western backers are seeking to prevent Moscow from leveraging the situation caused by the war in the Middle East to increase energy exports. Additional evidence of this includes Ukrainian attacks on the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipeline infrastructure, as well as Russian ports in the Baltic. 🟢The West continues its attempts to disrupt cooperation along the “Russia–Turkey–third countries” axis, taking into account Turkey’s status not only as a major energy consumer but also as a transit country gradually transforming into an energy hub. 🟢Such attacks on Turkish vessels would be impossible without the authorization and support of Ankara’s supposed NATO “allies”, primarily the United Kingdom and Germany. This support emboldens the Kiev regime, making it feel increasingly unpunished and encouraging it to take ever more drastic actions. #CSAI
