20 из 20From goals to rewards Every time I promise myself to do something nice when I reach my goal or complete a certain task. It can be a purchase, an adventure, a massage, or a trip to an interesting place. However, when the goal is achieved, for some reason, I put off the reward until later. It's as if the event has already happened, and having achieved the goal, I don't feel the need for a reward. This time it turned out differently!🥳 I have always dreamed of visiting Petrovsky Palace and feeling ...
Three quotes that keep me moving forward 1. Debes ergo potes ( = I can, therefore I do). This phrase came into my life when I was studying Latin at university and has been on my desk ever since. It always helps me pull myself together and take action when it seems like I don't have time or energy for anything. This applies to work responsibilities, promises and implementing new habits. 2. ‘This too shall pass’. The inscription on King Solomon's ring is like a mantra for me in both happy and diff...
Dear Ladies❤️👗 Happy Women's Day!
Be between jobs be between jobs/marriages/boyfriends, girlfriends, etc. = to no longer have a job, marriage, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc. at the moment, but expect or be likely to get another one. E. g. After finishing her last contract, Sarah is currently between jobs. Tom was between jobs and unsure of what to do. After his last company went bankrupt, John found himself between jobs for a few months. #vocabulary
“If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.” I think this motto is fundamental for teachers, but can be relevant to any profession. Wherever you are - in the classroom, in the boardroom, or in everyday interactions - it is important to strive for clarity of expression. When a professional not only has an excellent understanding of a subject, but is able to explain it in a way that is accessible to everyone, it is truly impressive. 😍 #mood
Books, lists, and personal taste A friend once told me that books should only be read cover to cover and selected from the BBC's top 100 list, claiming that anything else is a waste of time. I've never looked at such lists before. I usually choose what to read based on my mood, online reviews, friends' recommendations, or what I like from the description in a shop. This time, I decided to check the BBC's list of the greatest books and see how many of them I have already read. It turned out to be...
Today’s expression is inspired by what my whole family has been doing for the last week since we all caught tonsillitis. It’s called bed rotting. 🛌 Bed rotting means spending a lot of time lying in bed doing very little—just resting, relaxing, or even just scrolling on your phone without actually sleeping. For me, this week was full of bed rotting because my energy was gone and I needed to recover. It’s important to let yourself rest when you need it, even if it means doing nothing for a while....
I watched Intervision the other day, and wow — it was amazing! Honestly, I haven’t seen such a vibrant, original, and inspiring show in a long time. The best part was that every performer sang in their own language, wore traditional outfits, and brought something unique to the stage. The technical support was also excellent!👏 All the performers were so talented that it was difficult to choose just one favourite. Still, for me, the participant from Kazakhstan really stood out.😍 In my opinion, t...
