❗️The first issue was published in 1899; it was an overprint of the name of the post office (indicated above) on the stamps in circulation at that time with a pattern of the type of Fathoms, in total 15 denominations from one centime to five francs. The shortage of 25-centimes stamps in Port Said led to the overprint of a new denomination on 10-centimes stamps: "PORT SAID /VINGT / CINQ" ("Port Said / twenty / five"). Several of them were additionally overprinted with the number "25" in red ✅
