Micron falls despite record report. Uber and Rivian become robotaxi partners ↘️ Micron Technology (MU) −5%. The memory chip manufacturer reported results significantly above expectations. Micron will spend more than $25B on new manufacturing capacity in 2026, which is approximately $5B more than forecasts. ↗️ Five Below (FIVE) +6%. The discount retailer targeting teens gave an optimistic outlook for this year and stated that customers across all income levels are shopping at its stores. ↗️ Rivian Automotive (RIVN) +8%. UBER will invest up to $1.25B in the electric vehicle manufacturer through 2031 as part of a robotaxi partnership. Uber and its partners plan to purchase 10,000 fully autonomous R2 robotaxis, with an option to buy up to 40,000 additional vehicles starting in 2030. Commercial deployment is planned for San Francisco and Miami in 2028, with subsequent expansion to 25 cities across the US, Canada, and Europe by 2031. The first $300M will be paid upon signing the agreement and receiving regulatory approval. The R2 robotaxis will be available exclusively through the Uber platform. ↘️ Alibaba (BABA) −4%.
