🎭 55 Years of Inspiration, Creativity and Search: The NSMU Theatre Group Celebrates Its Anniversary! A grand celebration marking the 55th anniversary of the “POISK” Theatre Studio — a unique student group that has been delighting audiences for over half a century — took place within the walls of the Northern State Medical University (NSMU). 🔹 The history of “Poisk” began in 1970, when Yury Leonidovich Patsevich — a talented actor, musician and songwriter — became a postgraduate student at the Department of Normal Physiology at NSMU at the age of 24 and simultaneously founded a student theatre. This is how “Poisk” was born — a name that has become a symbol of an ongoing creative journey: the search for meanings, forms, new talents and genuine emotions. 🔹 On the evening of March 27, “Poisk” members from different generations gathered in the NSMU assembly hall. The festive evening was filled with warm greetings, hugs, memories and heartfelt congratulations from friends and colleagues. Congratulations were delivered by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Bylova, Acting Rector of NSMU: “This is where I first saw a play staged for Victory Day, and I was so struck by how the students acted and how they approached the material! You forget that you’re in the audience, in a theatre, and only when it’s over do you realise you weren’t actually part of that story. I thank the director, Natalya Nikolaevna Smyshlyaeva, for keeping the theatre alive. I wish ‘Poisk’ all the best: new ideas, productions, technological solutions — so that every year your ranks are joined by talented new actors!” 🔹 Marina Gennadyevna Dyachkova, Vice‑Rector for Regional Healthcare Development and Continuing Professional Education — who herself was a member of “Poisk” as a student — also congratulated the studio: “We recall our student years, when we were on stage and happily performed in plays, taking part in performances we put on for residents of the Arkhangelsk Region. For us, ‘Poisk’ was our happy student life. All the doctors who were once in ‘Poisk’ are doctors with passion. Each of us still has some talents — in pantomime, writing poetry or songs. It’s wonderful that we’re gathered here today!”
🔹 Today, “Poisk” continues to unite talented NSMU students. The group stages vibrant performances, hosts literary salons for appreciative audiences, and tours not only the Arkhangelsk Region but also other regions — including St. Petersburg, where it has already won the audience’s love. 🔹 To mark the anniversary, the “Poisk” Theatre Studio presented the play “The Tale of Fedot the Archer”. ❤ From the bottom of our hearts, we congratulate our beloved “Poisk” Theatre Studio on its 55th anniversary! We wish you endless inspiration, bold ideas, full houses and thunderous applause! You can view the photos in the NSMU group album on VKontakte.
