Dr. Robert Abbott joined me to discuss the largest study ever planned on rheumatoid arthritis and IBD using dietary intervention—testing the ketogenic and the carnivore diet (lion diet specifically). Autoimmune diseases are mainly treated with immunosuppressive drugs. Diet has barely been studied. The best evidence so far is a 2024 case series of 10 IBD patients, where all achieved remission on carnivore-ketogenic diets.
