Be careful of what you are saying. You never know how many times they have played in their head. Our body is truly wonderful in a way how it remembers emotions and responds to them. Without us realizing it can shift into state of protection or comfort based on past experiences. Sometimes, we can unintentionally put others into a defensive state. Our body senses the danger, even if no real threat is present, and gets into a defense state. You basically go through anxiety attack - weird feeling in stomach, heavy breathing, racing thoughts focused on a single issue, and a brain fog. It is not you being weak or overreacting - it is your body going into high alert and literally making your senses work overtime cause it thinks you are in actual danger. In the past such response helped our ancestors survive. Heightened awareness and thinking helped avoid potential attacks of dangerous animals and escape them. Those mechanisms still exist within us today. We can never fully know what someone else has experienced in life or what might trigger such a response . So retreat from judging and retreat from calling people weak. More often than not, theses individuals have endured difficult experiences that shaped those reactions. Instead of judging, choose understanding. What may look like fragility is often resilience - mark of someone who has faced more than we can see. ~ 🍀😊~
