Digital immortality is becoming a reality: scientists have uploaded a fly's brain into a computer. Researchers have created a detailed digital model of the Drosophila fly brain. This is not just a neural network trained on insect data — the simulation incorporates the exact structure of approximately 125,000 neurons and about 50 million synapses. As a result, the "digital fly" can exist in a virtual environment: the brain model reacts to what is happening around it and controls the insect's virtual body. The project is called EON Systems. The next step for scientists is to try to digitize the brain of a mouse, and in the long term, a human. Join 👉🏼 EARLIEST OF ALL ▶️ Add all our news channels
