👼🤩 // finally I'm back to reading again... .・゜゜・ started this season with 👼 Dostoevsky's White Nights 🌟✨ Oh, Nastenka, Nastenka! Do you know how far you have reconciled me to myself? Do you know now that I shall not think so ill of myself, as I have at some moments? it was sort of boring at first. i'm not fond of the manic pixie dream girl cliché and her lonely nerdy guy. but the more i read, the more i understand how lonely the main character had always been, and this nastenka seemed to have turned his world upside down ever since he laid his eyes on her. he was immediately enamoured with her, but i still don't really understand how or why yet (as i haven't finished reading the book). but i can truly relate to the feeling of finding a special someone who made how you see yourself change; who made you see yourself in a better light. i hope to see more of this nastenka character backstory more, as she seems to be much more interesting than the main character. maybe that's the intention of the author. again, i haven't finished the book to make a whole review on it. i don't really have any guess how this story will end, but so far, it's been an a-okay experience 🦋✉️ has anyone here read this book? do you have any recommendations of any classic russian literature for me to read? leave comments below! 🪽 .・◎ -: ✧ ⋆ ✦ ⋇・
