I think I’ve kept you in the dark long enough. Sorry about that – life happened☺️ Anyways, here go Kate’s @katanabauer results! I think she did a great job, which calls for a round of applause!🥂 And by great job I mean not only her well-deserved grade B, but also all the effort she put into preparation. Kate has been studying in one of my groups for over a year, and in the run-up to her CPE, she kicked her studies into high gear: I know that aside from weekly classes, she had intensive UoE and writing practice, study buddy sessions, and whatnot! Once Kate got her statement of results, I asked her how she felt. Her answer couldn't have been more perfect: ‘I am proud of the results, but I’m even more proud of the process’. This, in my humble opinion, is the best attitude towards exam prep — yes, it’s cool to have a certificate, to put it up on the wall somewhere for yourself and others to see. But what’s much cooler is the skills you develop, the language you learn, and the confidence you build. That’s truly precious.
