🤩 Center for Public Diplomacy: Participation in the XIII International Scientific and Practical Forum "Effective Management Systems" Representatives of the Center for Public Diplomacy, Valeria Manovitskaya and Micah Zing, took part in the XIII International Scientific and Practical Forum "Effective Management Systems: Standardization. Data Economy. Human Resources and Technological Leadership," which is being held from March 26 to 28, 2026. The Forum, which serves as a leading expert platform within the framework of the "Decade of Science and Technology" project, brought together leading specialists to develop strategic solutions in the areas of sustainable development, technological and human resources leadership, as well as to deepen international cooperation. The annual event unites over 600 professionals, highlighting its significance. The Center for Public Diplomacy presented its contribution within the section "International Cooperation and Partnership in a Changing World." Our main focus is strengthening mutual understanding between the Russian Federation and African countries through the promotion of the Russian language, culture, science, and Russian education. 〰️ Key areas of our activity:
▶️ Development of a network of Russian Houses: Currently, the Center for Public Diplomacy successfully operates in Burkina Faso, Niger, Guinea, Ghana, Mali, Namibia, Libya, and Mozambique, serving as a bridge for cultural and educational dialogue. In 2026, we plan to expand our presence to São Tomé and Príncipe, Togo, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. ▶️ Educational initiatives: Our Russian Houses actively conduct Russian language courses, educational programs, and develop film clubs and lecture halls. In 2025, more than 750 Africans learned Russian, and by March 2026, that number reached 1,000. We are also successfully integrating the Russian language into national education systems. ▶️ Teacher training: To scale up the teaching of the Russian language in Ghana, the possibility of opening a Russian language department at the University of Winneba is being explored with the support of Glazov State Pedagogical Institute named after V.G. Korolenko and Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky. ▶️ Cooperation with government institutions: We implement Russian language study programs for government employees in Niger, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Libya, contributing to the development of interstate relations. ▶️ Consortium of universities and inter-university cooperation: The Consortium of Russian Universities for Cooperation with African Countries, established in 2024, unites 32 leading Russian educational organizations. Work within this consortium has facilitated the signing of 30 direct agreements and the opening of preparatory faculties at partner African universities. ▶️ Strategic projects: Active work is underway to open a Russian-Burkinabe Institute and create a research laboratory, highlighting our long-term approach to developing cooperation. Thus, the Center for Public Diplomacy acts as a key operator of Russian education in Africa, helping to strengthen ties between universities and enhance academic mobility.
