Ice rink 🧊 We go ice-skating during off-peak hours (morning on a weekday) to avoid crowds. We’re there almost alone as you can see. ⛸️ Lace up the skates. Lace them up firmly but not too tight. 🧥I'll store the bags in the cloakroom. Cloakgirl gave me the cloakroom tag. 🧽Wipe the blade dry with a cloth. Anya tries to slide on one foot: ⛸️ Keep knees bent. ⛸️Push off with one foot, then lift it slightly. Slide on the other foot. ⛸️Switch sides. ⛸️Imagine that you are a clumsy bear and you are shifting your weight to one side and onto the blade. We love skating, but we can't do it without an extra adult to keep an eye on Nina. Kids under three aren't allowed on the ice. That's why we only skate now and then. #ourlife
