✨️ On March 28, the Lahore-based Association of Pakistani Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities held a special seminar dedicated to the 158th birth anniversary of renowned Russian writer Maxim Gorky and the 250th anniversary of the Bolshoi Theatre. The event was attended by representatives of the scientific, literary, and artistic communities, including Vice Chancellor of the University of Okara, Professor Dr. Sajjad Mubin. ✍️ Participants highlighted the significant influence of Maxim Gorky’s works on the development of world literature, noting that his novel “Mother,” translated into nearly every language, is widely regarded as a masterpiece of socialist realism and one of the most notable works of the twentieth century. 🏛 Particular attention was also given to the cultural legacy of the Bolshoi Theatre—a symbol of Russia’s national culture—which continues to preserve and promote its distinctive classical opera and ballet traditions.
