my thoughts on how ethos fits into solstice there’s a global multiplier tied to ethos that applies to all Flares earned across activities (1600+ score = 1.2x, 2000+ = 1.5x). i see this mainly as a way to dampen pure farming. without an ethos score, you still earn, just less than contributors with a proven track record. not everyone below 1600 is a farmer, but once you’re above that line, there tend to be far fewer of them. i wouldn’t frame this as “reputation over activity.” it’s better thought of as activity × reputation. you still have to do the work to earn Flares, but your reputation can meaningfully amplify the outcome. that extra multiplier is a real incentive. for example, holding eUSX for months and earning X Flares, then having a 1.2x applied on top. same activity, higher signal. the broader point is that time spent building ethos compounds. it carries across the ecosystem, including @Solstice_tg build your reputation early. it’s one of the few things that keeps paying you back everywhere.
